About Jarred Who We Are

I like to think I’ve always been a pretty creative person. I’ve spent my life building, creating music, and for the last decade photography. My professional career was focused on building, and I spend the last 10 years of it in the film industry.

In 2018 my wife and I welcomed our daughter Olive into our lives. The tedious hours of the film industry made my first year of parenting tough. While I enjoyed a lot of family time between shows, when I was working I didn’t see them nearly enough, and when I did it was a struggle to stay focused. I realized that this was not how I wanted to live. It was time for a change. One that would allow me to spend these important years with my family. And in February of 2020, the Covid pandemic brought the industry to a screeching halt, and made the decision all that more important.

Throughout these years I was still an active photographer. I sold prints for supplemental income. One of the companies I used to fulfill my prints was Photo to Canvas. I was always happy with the service and product. Shortly after Covid started, I went to place an order for a client, and saw the bad news. Covid had closed the business, at least temporarily. That day I called Alphonse and he told me he was selling the business. Right after he told me this the gears in my head started turning. I knew once Covid slowed down it would be a popular business again. One that allowed me to be creative and have art and photography the focus of my work. So after a brief discussion with my wife, I decided to go for it.

Its one year later, and I think its one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love what I do. I have made amazing connections with my clients, and I truly enjoy working with them to bring their visions to fruition. Printing is something I’ve done for years as a photographer, but doing it all day every day has really opened my eyes to the art form. All this while allowing me to work from home and spend more time with my family.

I hope to work with you. I hope to help you create art that brings enjoyment to your life, and those around you! Thanks for reading my story!
